Eggs

MMM Salmonella in Guernsey.

I think without the media naming the actual establishment all Island food outlets are under suspicion.

This could be detrimental to business.

Its interesting to note today’s Salmonella outbreak in Italy in which one tourist died was

narrowed down to “a four Star Hotel on lake Garda

It was a local egg supplier but I dont see the problem being the supply but more the use of raw yolks in mayo. We have used pasturised eggs for non cooked dishes for years. I do often think that the upper end of the market have a snobby approach to using such products which will increase there chances of poisoning !
