| i am looking for a Front of House Management vacancy. I have worked in the industry for over ten years. The properties i have worked have ranged from small country pubs (working as a relief manager on occasion) to five star hotels. Although my favourite has always been hotels. I have held many management positions, culminating with 18 months at The Hoste Arms working there as a Duty Manager. My role at The Hoste was varied and hugely challenging. My day would include organising the team of staff (up to 15 team members.), briefing the team, organising any special events, liaising with the event organiser, and dealing with any guest queries or complaints. The team would be spread through up to six dining areas which made it rather a challenge to know what was going on in every area. I also implemented an induction and training programme, did stocktaking and orders, whilst all the while forging relationships with our regular customers, and new customers. I fancy a change of scene and have heard great reports about Guernsey so i rather hope there is something out there i can get stuck into.
