I am writing to enquire if you currently have any live-in job vacancies, or are likely to have in the near future.   The areas I am looking for work in are management, reception, administration and event organising. 

I am a very organised and efficient person aged 39, who can turn her hand to a wide variety of tasks and enjoys working with and helping people.  Having previously owned and run my own retail health food business, (which I sold a few years ago when I ran out of space) I am very aware of how very important good customer service is; both for retaining existing customers/guests and also attracting new ones.  I have in the past worked for a 14 room hotel in Harrogate, providing a freelance book-keeping service for them, which lead to helping with the administration and reception side, as well as hotel sitting for the owners when they were away and helping them to totally refurbish the hotel too.  I have been looking at having another health food shop or an eco/organic b&b/hotel and would love to do this in Guernsey. 

I am looking to be in Guernsey for at least the summer, although I would prefer to be living there permanently.  Guernsey always feels to me like I have come home, I first noticed this when I came to the Islands to work in Sark 20 years ago - I cannot explain it, it just is.

 I have also had 2 articles published on Janey Lee Grace’s website (she co-hosts on BBC Radio 2) Home Baking - Kitchen Therapy and Natural Pet Healthcare.  I also contributed a reworked version of the pet healthcare article for her latest book Imperfectly Natural Home, which has just been published.
