Dear AllThe new bod Chris Elliott's in place at VisitGuernsey, the route marketing strategy is underway and it appears that there is a bit of a buzz going in the newspapers and supplements about our fair isles as destinations. As the web developers for VisitGuernsey the recently publicised statistics show a massive increase in web activity.
The Fermain Kiosk has been voted the second best beach kiosk in the world, Bella Luce is under a refurbishnment programme, La Fregate's rooms are on stream and the OGH is reporting good business as are a number of other hotels. All is not lost you cynical lot!
For our part we have developed a new interactive map using the Digimap and Perry's data. It's got many new functions and allows visitors to locate their hotel swithc on and switch off multiple layers and points of interest. It's now live but would like to send it out to you lot for your comments. Usual rules/questions apply:
- Are the instructions clear?
- Does it work in whatever browser your using
- Does it load well
- How is the functionality and readability.
It's practically impossible for a web development company to guess every screen size, browser version or damp piece of string in a Venezuela jungle via which you might be accessing the Internet.
