| Good afternoon all,
Being a newbie here, I would like to say hello to all the forum.
My name is Bruce Rose and my wife and I are seriously considering relocating our business...and lives to the Island, mainly due to the fact that we are totally disillusioned with the state of the economy over here in the UK.
We run a small Bookkeeping and Payroll Business and I have spent numerous hours trying to understand the complexities of the CI Taxation system. I know that this not the place for free advice as we have spoken to other professionals over here, trying to get to the bottom of things, so if anyone would be willing to give us some advice then we would very much appreciate it.
We have been in business (Ltd) over here for some 15 years now and have many clients all over the UK and Canary Islands. Many clients require hands on assistance and indeed many don't so due to technology and our bespoke systems, we can operate from anywhere there is a broadband link.
I hope therefore to enjoy bantering on this site and perhaps meeting up in the near future, if we can get things sorted over here.

Here are two websites that might be of use to you. www.liveguernsey.com has been set up by Commerce & Employment (your equvalent DTI) as a portal of information and links for persons looking to relocate to Guernsey. It's quite good as it deals with the business side of moving and also tips a hat to the specifics of education, schooling, getting on and off Guernsey, immigration and property. I hope that helps
