Peter Perrio has been working on an online system for accommodation providers to input there booking trends for the upcoming months so that, at a glance, you will be able to see how bookings look for the months ahead.

Peter came and demo’d the system to me which looks good and more importantly easy to use.

At the moment some twenty properties have signed up (me included) and I would urge all interested parties to get hold of Peter to make sure you are included.

It will be useful information for all and its always good to gauge your own business against the industry so you can either sit back with a smug grin on your face or put you head in the gas oven depending on how you are doing!

Another key aspect to this involves money! By using this data to predict trends, Visit Guernsey have a small fund set aside to react to any dips that we see on the horizon to hopefully boost visitor number for a particular problem area.
