Chamber Lunch Club provides a good opportunity for networking with business colleagues and listening to a topical speaker on a key Island topic. At £10 for a three course meal and a glass of wine, the lunch is excellent value. We welcome new and occasional members who should contact Chamber office to make arrangements beforehand. The next Lunch Club is on Tuesday 19th June 15th
The Chamber office is open from Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm and a meeting room with facilities is available for use of members at a small charge. Telephone 727483 or email office@chamber.guernsey.net to make enquiries.
At the next meeting of the Retail Sub-Committee we shall be discussing the issues of recycling waste packaging arising from the retail sector. The Public Services Department have asked to have a meeting with Retailers to understand the issues of
waste packaging and encourage recycling initiatives to reduce landfill.
Following a successful lunch club in May Deputy David Delisle has agreed to meet Chamber representatives shortly to brainstorm the wider range of environmental issues affecting Island business. Planning delays, land availability, traffic congestion and paid parking and others are all matters which affect local business.
Chamber recently held a seminar to discuss the benefits it provides for its members. The members who attended were asked about current benefits and where they would like to see improvements. Comments were positive and constructive and Chamber’s executive committee will be focussing on these issues.
Copy for the Chamber’s Annual Business Directory is closing shortly and any member who needs to update their business information should contact the office without delay.
Chamber provides a range of export services for its members with links and contacts to many other Chambers. Guernsey Chamber is affiliated to the British Chambers of Commerce and is authorised to authenticate European Certificates of Origin on behalf of the DTI. In addition we are able to arrange certification and legalisation of documents at foreign embassies.
