| I was born in Kent and my family moved to Guernsey in 1976.
I was schooled at Ladies College until 1988. After a gap year working for Ozannes, I briefly attended the University of Buckingham. Shortly after my arrival, I returned back to the island and worked for Central Transfers, a minibus company specialising in airport and harbour transfer work.
I then moved to Ernst and Young, where I trained first as an Accounting Technician and then as a Chartered Accountant. I moved into the finance sector specialising in trust working for MeesPierson.
I have been a director of the family business, Island Coachways, since 1998. In 2003 I joined full time as Managing Director.
Island Coachways operates the States of Guernsey scheduled bus services. We also run a fleet of private hire coaches. We have a variety of contracts ranging from cruise liners to school buses. We also employ Special Constables to provide motorbike escorts for oversized vehicles. We have a fully functioning garage that looks after the maintenance, servicing and repair of all our vehicles.
We employ an international staff of seventy-five – driving staff, mechanics, cleaners, administration and management.
My hobbies include singing and piano playing.
I am married to Andrew and have a nine year old daughter Elizabeth.
