| Dear All
Looks like the Town Carnival is struggling again this year. A couple of the events have gone by the wayside and they need some cash sharpish.
The clowns aren't coming this year due to a shortfall in funding, the town crier competition has been knocked on the head and news just in suggests that the waiters and waitress race might be kyboshed due to Health & Safety issues - I kid you not.

So fellow Guernsey people, it's down to us. Can we raise £2500 in a couple of weeks to save the clowns? Submarine's donated some in to the pot, The Fleur du Jardin has offered to put CoCo&Co up for a week.
I you want to see weeping children in the streets of St Peter Port, outrage at not having a clown jumping out of a bin scaring the pants off you then all you have to do is nothing.

If, however, like the chaps and chapesses at Submarine you want the clowns to be wandering the streets of our fair town bringing joy and light to the yung'uns, then dig deep. Wel lnot that deep, all we need is a fiver or a tenner off some of you and I think we can crack it.
Please pass this on to as many people as possible asking them to give, give give to save the clowns!!

£2500 is all we need - pass it on to as many people as possible!!
Cheers

| Dear All
Got some fantastic news for everyone looks like we've cracked the appeal target of £2500. SONNY and RAMBO have cancelled their current dates to make themselves available for Town Carnival week. Great stuff!
Donations to date are as follows:
RBC - £1000
Guernsey Post - £500
Bank Julius Baer - £250
Rabeys - £200
Public donations on www.appeal.gg - £700
Donations direct to TC - Still coming in
Looks like we are there and a big thanks to the WhyGuernsey, Chamber and Submarine database.
For a moment there I thought it was going to me, Johnny Gollop and Francis Quin running around town in ginger wigs and big pants scaring children for a week.
